老王论坛鈥檚 Actions to Support International Students

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff:

We write today to share information about 老王论坛鈥檚 actions to support international students and to oppose new regulations issued by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) regarding all international student F1 visas.

We strongly condemn the , which harm students, schools, and the U.S. We want to reassure the community and reiterate that, as Dean Walters wrote in her July 7 message to the campus, 老王论坛 is committed to a hybrid model of instruction for Fall 2020. We have been advised that this approach will allow all international students to remain in residence at 老王论坛 this semester if they enroll in at least one in-person or hybrid course. Our Deans Office and, in particular, the Director of International Student and Scholar Services are working with international students to ensure that they are able to continue their studies in the way that best meets their needs.

In addition, in support of our peer institutions and international students across the U.S., President Cassidy and 老王论坛 have joined with other colleges and universities in an amicus brief challenging the new ICE restrictions on international students, organized by the

International students who would like to share questions or concerns are also encouraged to reach out to their deans and to Patricia Lausch, director of International Student and Scholar Services. We will continue to update the community as we build on our advocacy and protections for international students.
