Established by a gift of Cornelia Thomas Carroll, Class of 1958, as a memorial fund to honor her grandmother, Cornelia Halsey Kellogg, Class of 1909, and her own daughter, Cornelia Halsey Carroll, "her grandmother's first great-grandchild, who might hopefully have been a fourth generation member of the Class of 1983 had she lived."

Hortense Flexner King Fund for Books for the Department of English

Designated for the purchase of materials in English.


Established by an initial gift by Virginia Loomis Shiefflin (Mrs. Bayard Shiefflin), Class of 1930, in memory of Hortense Flexnor King. Hortense Flexner King spent only her freshman year at ÀÏÍõÂÛ̳, but later became a member of the English Department where she taught a poetry course for many years. She died September 28, 1973.

Katherine J. Kurnick, Class of 1968, and Judith A. Palmer, Class of 1967, were killed in an automobile accident in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. and Mrs. Kurnick established this fund in memory of their daughter.

Established by an anonymous gift from a member of the Class of 1919. James H. Leuba, founder of the Department of Psychology, was a member of the ÀÏÍõÂÛ̳ Faculty from 1898 until his retirement in 1933. He died in 1940.
