We do so by assuming every student in our program has the potential to succeed; by being attentive to the individual needs of our students; by recognizing the identity of each student and its role in their learning; by working together to assess and improve our pedagogy; by encouraging student collaboration and community-building; and by providing opportunities for students to work closely with faculty mentors.
