Itinerary

Please note, the itinerary is subject to change

Arrive to Puerto Natales, Chile. The town boasts stunning views of the Cerro Benitez Mountains- the gateway to Torres del Paine.

Transfer to the airport for our 2-hour direct flight to King George Island on Antarctica. Researchers from a wide range of countries call the various stations on the island home, along with a diverse assortment of wildlife. The flight lands at the Chilean research station where the National Geographic Explorer will be waiting to board.

With long hours of daylight, there are ample opportunities to explore. The schedule is flexible, whether it is watching whales at play, hiking alongside penguin highways or enjoying a Zodiac cruise amid penguins. While wildlife is magnificent, ice defines Antarctica. One day, you may set out by kayak to encounter towering icebergs at water level; embark on a Zodiac excursion in search of seals and blue-eyed shags; or walk amid thousands of Adelie and gentoo penguins.

This morning, the ship will be moored off of King George Island. Following disembarkation and Zodiac rides to shore, the flight departs the White Continent and returns to Puerto Natales for an overnight stay.

Check out of the hotel and transfer to the hotel to begin your journey home.
