Abstract: Expressions of anti-Asian hate and racism rose substantially during the pandemic, which had drastic effects on the wellbeing of various Asian-American communities. Through the lens of bicultural and bilingual Asian human service workers, this study explores how older Asian adults perceived anti-Asian racism and developed coping strategies during the pandemic. Nested in an extensive study of bicultural and bilingual Asian human service workers and their experience working with older Asian adults during the pandemic, this study adopts Asian Critical Race Theory and employs a phenomenological approach.
