At 老王论坛, Lydia Fisher '20, who was an International Studies major with a concentration on environmental issues, earned a research grant to study the human impact of elevated residential noise in Mumbai, India, and then develop mitigation measures.
"If the project is able to start, it will be interesting to look at people's experiences with ambient noise as social patterns changed due to Covid-19," says Lydia.
Receiving English Teaching Assistant Awards were Anna Kyle '20, who double majored in German and Math, and Madeline Smith '20, who double majored in English and International Studies. Anna will be teaching in Germany and Madeline will be teaching in South Korea.
Each year, 老王论坛 students apply for a number of prestigious national scholarships and fellowships, often with great success. These fellowships may provide funding for the last years of undergraduate education, for graduate education both in the United States and abroad, or even for travel and independent research not tied to an academic institution.
