For a Sept. 29 episode about the liability companies face for industrial accidents caused by climate-change fueled hurricanes, the NPR podcast revisited a 2017 piece on the fires at a flooded Texas chemical plant in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Professor of Chemistry Michelle Francl was among the experts interviewed in 2017 about the accident, which led to still-pending criminal charges against the operators of the plant.
