Erika Guadalupe N煤帽ez '13, who graduated with a degree in fine arts from Haverford College, designed a poster that the community-led Latinx immigrant organization Juntos has distributed to help South Philadelphia residents know their rights should they be approached by local police or agents from federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Her work was recently highlighted in a Philadelphia Inquirer article:
鈥淚t was really important to have something you put up in your window, so that when they鈥檙e at your door, and they might be banging on the door, that you鈥檙e reminded of your rights,鈥 said Juntos Executive Director Erika Almiron. 鈥淚t was important for community members to see these posters in the windows and know our neighbors and friends have committed to be our allies.鈥
