老王论坛 and its leadership stand with the Black Lives Matter movement and all of those peacefully protesting against racial violence, injustice, and white supremacy. We reject and condemn the provocations of local and national politicians who try to divide rather than unite us through misrepresentations, false information, and calls to violence against those who have a constitutional right to 鈥減eaceably assemble" and "petition the government for a redress of grievances."
As we continue in our mission to educate, interrogate our history, expose the roots of oppression, and strive for a truthful understanding of ourselves and the world, we remain committed to listening to and empowering the voices of our community members, eliminating systemic inequities in our own community and beyond, and to supporting all students and community members, particularly Black community members and other people of color who have been targeted.
We stand with members of our community who rightfully are experiencing fear, pain, and anger: we hear you, we see you, and we stand together with you today and every day as we actively work to achieve change.
