Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

I am pleased to be the one to inform you that the College has successfully partnered with a national pharmacy chain to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine on campus to our community members.

On Monday, April 19th (and possibly carrying over into Tuesday, April 20th), we will host a mass vaccination clinic at the Schwartz gym for the 老王论坛 community. The pharmacy will have over 1,100 doses of the Pfizer vaccine available for BMC, which we expect will be enough to accommodate all faculty, staff and students (residential and commuting; graduate, undergraduate, and post-baccalaureate pre-med) who are interested in receiving the vaccine.

As you may know, the Pfizer vaccine requires a second dose. As such, our pharmacy partner will return to campus on Monday, May 10th (and May 11th if initial appointments are scheduled for April 20th) to administer the second dose.

Please remember that these vaccinations are only for those who have not yet received any vaccination. You may not participate in any on-campus vaccination clinic if you have previously received any doses of any COVID-19 vaccine; you must receive your second dose, if applicable, from the same entity that provided your first dose.

Staff who are scheduled to work on a vaccination day are permitted to be vaccinated during working hours without use of vacation or sick time; please coordinate with your supervisor so that your department鈥檚 services can continue smoothly while you and your colleagues are getting vaccinated.

There is no charge for receiving the vaccine, but you will be asked to present your insurance card at your appointment. Within the next week, faculty, staff and students will receive a subsequent e-mail with information on how to set up an appointment time.

We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity. As you know, vaccination is an important tool in our arsenal to reduce the risk of transmission and protect the health and safety of our community members.

Sincerely,

Kari Fazio
Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer
