Globalization processes bring a series of opportunities and challenges into mental health, education, and social justice practices that call for understanding the larger forces that shape how providers, educators, and policy makers define and practice their roles. A panel of scholars and practitioners from the 老王论坛, New York University, and the Fundaci贸n Tierra de Esperanza will reflect on the ethical and practical aspects of working with individuals and families affected by globalization issues in the United States and Chile.

From 老王论坛, David Byers will discuss his work on bullying from a transnational perspective, and Carolina Hausmann-Stabile will talk about global issues in suicidal behaviors research. From New York University, Rita Gabriela Barajas-Gonz谩lez will talk about parenting interventions for transnational Latino families. From the Fundaci贸n Tierra de Esperanza, Nelson Villagr谩n and Sally McIntosh will discuss the delivery of services for children and adolescents in contexts of rapid social changes brought up by globalization processes in Chile.
