Apr 18
2024
1:00pm - 2:00pm
100% Virtual Event

Interested in learning more about Title IX and the College’s Sexual Misconduct policy? Become SMART! Join this new campus initiative as an inaugural member of the Sexual Misconduct Advocacy Resource Team – a group of faculty and staff members who feel better prepared to appropriately and compassionately support community members affected by sexual violence.

This introductory 60-minute session will cover the topics below.

  • The College’s policy and procedure for addressing issues of sexual misconduct.
  • Who is required to report? And what information do I need to share?
  • How do we report? And what happens once the process begins?
  • How do I help someone who is going through the process?
  • What resources are available both on and off campus?

Participants will receive a SMART magnet to display in their office/workspace as a visual symbol of support and care. Participants will also have the option of joining a list of SMART faculty and staff members advertised on the College website.

Can't make this training? Mark your calendar for another session on Monday, April 29, at 3:30 p.m. Or, reach out to Bi-College Title IX Coordinator Kimberly Taylor to request a personalized session for your department.
