The lecture concerns feature films made by women filmmakers from Ukraine and Russia (2009-2022) by focusing on the trope of the occupied female body鈥攃oerced, abused, raped, killed, tortured, colonized, impregnated鈥攁s an intersection of bare life, state power, interiorization of trauma, and potential resistance.
