In October, Professor of History of Art Alicia Walker and , Ph.D. ’17, who is now an assistant professor of classics at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, co-organized a session for the annual that featured papers from eight scholars, including Nava Streiter Ph.D. ‘22, curator of the Yellowstone Gateway Museum, and current Ph.D. candidate Elena Gittleman. The session panels built upon a forthcoming translation of a key eleventh-century Byzantine illustrated menologion (calendar of prayers) that Kuper completed for Dumbarton Oaks.
