Biennial Symposia

The 老王论坛 Graduate Group Symposium is a biennial event sponsored by the Graduate Group in Archaeology, Classics, and History of Art. This weekend-long symposium is organized and led entirely by a committee of graduate students with the goal of facilitating interdisciplinary scholarship between graduate students in Archaeology, Classics, History of Art, and all related fields. Planned and organized entirely by students, the biennial symposia are one of the Graduate Group's most significant shared enterprises. 

2023 Symposium (November 10-11)

Timecraft: From Interpreting the Past to Shaping the Future 

This year, the symposium is centered on the concept of timecraft. The 14th BMC Biennial Symposium organizing committee consists of Katie Breyer, Mallory Fitzpatrick, Kari Fossum, Devin Lawson, Yusi Liu, Meri莽 脰z枚l莽er, Katy Rosenthal and Alexis White.

Please join the GGACHA Group for our second hybrid symposium on November 10th and 11th. The keynote speaker is Dr. Sarah Symons (McMaster University), she will deliver a lecture titled "The birth of the hours: short time measurement in ancient Egypt."
