A Scholar in the Making

Jiayu Zhou '20 spent her Hanna Holborn Gray Fellowship studying Philadelphia's Chinatown.

Jiayu Zhou 鈥20 surveyed the business community of Philadelphia鈥檚 Chinatown and the 鈥淢andarization鈥 of its linguistic landscape. Named in honor of Hanna Holborn Gray 鈥50, the program funds 15 students each summer to conduct independent research in the humanities or humanistic social sciences.
